Arte, Artesanía, Gastronomía y Vino - Art, Crafts, Gastronomy and Wine

The poster talks about wine, Art and society without naming it, it mixes everything a bit and makes it clear to us if we want to understand it, that Art is not just paintings and sculptures, books or photographs, but much more. We enter fully into the doubt of assessing what Art and Crafts is, and above all what it is for and who creates it.

A wine (as it is named on the poster) is the mixture created by professionals of various grapes and the work of time, techniques, conservation, care and review of its transformation over time while the vintner artists are modifying flavors and leave it to nature itself to do chemical work.

Without the intervention of professionals, it is not possible to create wine. Nor to modify it, that it comes out the same or different from other vintages. What is easier to repeat exactly the same flavor, smell and bouquet of a broth from one year to the next, or on the contrary to achieve new flavors that adapt to what customers demand, the times?

With few tubes of paint, with few colors, artists manage to create works that are totally different from each other. They mix with tools, let it dry, work wet or not, add elements or not, etc.

Any liquor is a similar procedure. But similar processes are also carried out in the kitchen. And in architecture. And in literature mixing stories and characters, or in theater and music.

To create is to start from scratch or from a very simple thing, and to achieve with the intervention of people, with tools and add-ons, a product that is nothing like at the beginning.

A tube of paint next to a brush is nothing like a painting. A sheet of paper a charcoal does not look like a drawing.

But neither barley malt and spring water looks anything like whiskey. Not a rice and a few prawns is almost nothing like a paella or a sushi. In between is technique, crafts, Art.

They say that craftsmanship is repeating a work of art many times. Something that is also done in gastronomy. But there are many things that are alike between Art and Crafts.
